Do I need to do anything to mke sure I get them? No -they are an automatic part of the StudentVIP service. Once you are a member you will get alerts. How often are they? No more than 4 per month. Why Alerts? 1. In research done in 2006, many students told us "there are heaps of things out there for students, but I always hear about them too late" They wanted a service that ensured they'd be "the first to know". StudentVIP Alerts keep you in the loop of what's out there for students in Australia. 2. The alerts also help fund the site - so don't "junk" them (actually you will find that other services of the site won't work if you mark "studentvip" emails as junk). Support the site and open and click on them- even briefly. Those stats go back to the client and it determines if they come back again. Can i just unsubscribe from the Alerts but keep using the site? Unfortunately it's a package deal - you can unsubscribe at any time - but only to the whole site including the Alerts. My friend got an Alert that I didn't get -why? Many Alerts are sent just to more relevant sub-groups, eg: sent just to "Law" students, or just to "final year" students. It keeps Alerts more relevant. |  |
